The ESTS Quality Certification Program was launched twelve years ago by the ESTS with the aim of standardizing and improving practice across Europe. The eligibility criteria reflect unit participation in the ESTS database and unit performance based on the Composite Performance Score, which combines risk-adjusted outcomes with standardized process measures.
The first data export from RESECT to the ESTS Database led to the inclusion of five Spanish-RESECT units among the 30 European departments eligible for certification in 2025.
